The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CSGDB) organized the first introductory workshop for the Qatar Government Excellence Program in the presence of planning and quality managers and representatives of government agencies.
In a statement, CSGDB stated that this workshop aims to introduce the concept of government excellence and raise awareness of its principles and importance to various entities, especially in terms of improving the quality of government performance, raising the level of quality of services provided, spreading the spirit of competition between government agencies and the culture of development and excellence in government performance.
In this regard, the introductory workshop discussed the business challenges in the government sector and appropriate solutions to them, dealt with the principles of government excellence, and reviewed the foundations of excellence in government work in the State of Qatar and the journey toward excellence.
The participants in the workshop got acquainted with the steps planned for the next stages of the Qatar Government Excellence Program and looked at the international and regional models used to benefit from their experiences at the government work level.
The workshop also included the concepts of excellence, which are based on comprehensive quality and its guarantee, auditing and following the necessary scientific standards, in addition to achieving the highest levels of excellence in a manner that meets or exceeds expectations with continuous development, training and measurement of performance indicators.
This step comes within the framework of the endeavor to achieve quality and excellence at the government level and to activate the strategy of institutional performance quality standards in government agencies in the State of Qatar.
