Abu Dhabi:Democratic Republic of the Congo The number of confirmed Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has increased to 8,116, marking a rise of over 2,000 cases in the past month, as reported by the country's National Institute of Public Health.
According to Emirates News Agency, on September 1, the institute had reported 6,100 confirmed Ebola cases and 2,950 deaths.
In a recent statement, the institute announced that 49 new cases, 23 deaths, and 18 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak began to 8,116, with 3,924 deaths.
