Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi emphasized on Sunday the critical importance of halting Israeli aggression against Gaza and initiating a comprehensive plan to end the Israeli occupation, advocating for a just peace based on the two-state solution as the means to curb the dangerous escalation gripping the region.
In a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Safadi underscored that quelling the escalation is not only a regional imperative but also a global necessity, calling upon the Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities in safeguarding security and peace. This includes enforcing a halt to the aggression against Gaza while upholding international law.
The minister also cautioned against the ramifications of sustained aggression, warning that it could propel the region towards further escalations, posing threats to both regional and international security and stability.
Furthermore, Safadi emphasized the urgency of consolidating interna
tional endeavors to de-escalate tensions and shield the entire region from its fallout.
Highlighting Jordan’s unwavering commitment, Safadi affirmed that the Kingdom will persist in its efforts to end the aggression against Gaza and quell regional escalation.
Additionally, Jordan pledges to collaborate with international partners to enact tangible measures toward implementing the two-state solution, recognized as the sole pathway to attain security, stability, and equitable peace in the region.
Safadi reaffirmed Jordan’s resolve to take all necessary measures to safeguard its security and sovereignty, unequivocally asserting that it will not permit any threat to compromise its safety or that of its citizens.
