FM stresses need for Israel to comply with international will that calls for ending war

Amman: Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi met with Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib in Brussels on Sunday to discuss the situation in Gaza, efforts to stop the war, and the protection of civilians.

Safadi stressed the need for Israel to comply with international law, international humanitarian law, and the international will calling for a ceasefire. He also stressed the need to ensure the delivery of adequate and sustainable humanitarian assistance to all parts of the Gaza Strip.

Safadi also held talks with Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Petrides in Brussels on Sunday. The talks discussed the situation in Gaza and efforts to stop the war.

Safadi called for intensifying efforts to build a strong international stance to stop the ongoing war in Gaza and its disastrous consequences and to prevent it from escalating.

Safadi said that a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution is the only way to protect the region from the conflict and to ensure security and peace for Palestinians, Is
