Manama:The GCC Ministerial Committee for Postal and Telecommunications Affairs convened its 30th meeting on Sunday, led by Bahrain's Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Dr. Sheikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting included telecommunications ministers from GCC member states and representatives from relevant postal authorities. Khalid Ali Salem Al Sunaidi represented the GCC General Secretariat on behalf of Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in the postal, telecommunications, and space sectors. Key topics included guidelines for managing dangerous goods in GCC postal networks, reducing digital service and social media risks, and leveraging artificial intelligence in telecommunications and IT.
