Hama, Laboratory of environmental hydraulics and building materials was inaugurated on Sunday at Faculty of Civil Engineering in Hama, in addition to an auditorium with a capacity of 200 students with the aim of serving students in their studies.
After being briefed on the new laboratories at the university, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Bassam Ibrahim, toured Hama University Hospital and inspected works of rehabilitating Medicine Faculty’s auditoriums and halls affiliated to the Hospital which reached up to 60 %.
The Minister was also briefed on final stages of rehabilitating the University’s presidential building which will be put into service very soon after securing the required office equipment.
Speaking to SANA, President of Hama University, Mohammad Zeyad Sultan, said that the target of the hospital project is to support the educational process of the Medicine Faculty and to prepare its students clinically and scientifically through auditoriums with more than 1100 seats ,adding that the project can also be used as a center for medical conferences.
Sultan referred that the hospital supports the health and treatment system in Hama through receiving patients at the hospital’s outpatient clinics and offering the emergency services and surgical operations ,as well as the residence as it has a capacity of 170 beds and is expandable to 210 ones.
