‘Holy Quran Conference and the Frontiers of Science’ promotes global understanding of Quran’s civilisational role


ABU DHABI: The “Holy Quran Conference and the Frontiers of Science: United Arab Emirates Efforts in its Service” concluded yesterday, issuing a final statement with key recommendations that deepen global awareness of the civilisational role of the Holy Quran in finding solutions to contemporary issues and achieving sustainable development.

The conference also urged academics and scholars to explore connections between the Quran and other branches of science and philosophy to open new avenues for societal advancement and prosperity.

Organised by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments on 24th and 25th March under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, the conference outlined a clear roadmap for future local and global initiatives.

The conference showcased the UAE’s pioneering use of modern technology to serve the Quran and its scholarship.

A new research branch, focusing on the Quran and
its connection to cosmic sciences, will be added to the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments’ Holy Quran Award, starting from the 14th edition this summer.

The conference witnessed the attendance of an elite group of specialists and the UAE President’s guest scholars.
