DUBAI: Italy secured a spot in the semi-finals of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024 after defeating Tahiti 5-2 in a thrilling quarter-final match on Thursday at the Dubai Design District Stadium.
Tahiti took a surprise lead in the first half, scoring two goals before Italy managed to pull one back ahead of the break
The second half saw a resurgent Italy equalise, taking control of the match, before scoring three unanswered goals through to secure a convincing victory.
Now Italy will face Belarus in the semi-finals on Saturday.
