Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed visits UMEX and SimTEX


ABU DHABI: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has visited the sixth edition of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) and Simulation Training Exhibition (SimTEX), being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

During the visit, Sheikh Khaled met with key decision makers, industry experts and entrepreneurs from local and international companies and discussed the latest developments and technologies in unmanned systems in the civil and defence sectors, as well as opportunities within the UAE’s growing defence and security sector.

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed highlighted the UAE’s commitment to attracting breakthrough technologies and cutting-edge innovations, which further enhance the country’s position as a leading hub for advanced industries. He also emphasised Abu Dhabi’s focus on driving i
nnovation in unmanned systems, leveraging the emirate’s advanced technological ecosystem, as well as building strategic partnerships and developing talent to continue growing the sector.

Sheikh Khaled was accompanied by Mohamed Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Ahmed Jasem Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development; Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director Group CEO of Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre; Faisal Al Bannai, Secretary-General of the Advanced Technology Research Council; and Major General Staff Dr. Mubarak Saeed bin Ghafan Al Jabri, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of UMEX and SimTEX.

The UMEX and SimTEX exhibitions are being organised by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Defence, and take place until 25th January. The event provides a platform to discuss the latest developments, trends and innovati
ons in the UAS (unmanned aircraft systems) sector.
