Kuwait City: Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, this evening inaugurated the 20th edition of the Arab Media Forum. The event is hosted by Kuwait over a three-day period under the theme: 'Media Challenges in the Era of Technological Advancement and Digital Transformation'.
According to Emirates News Agency, the opening ceremony was attended by Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and Chairman of the UAE Media Council, who is heading the UAE delegation to the forum. Several ministers, officials, members of the diplomatic missions, and Arab media professionals were also present.
The event commenced with a documentary film that traced the 20-year journey of the Arab Media Forum. The film highlighted its successful establishment on the regional media scene through the launch and support of numerous impactful media initiatives.
In his address, Al-Mutairi conveyed the greetings of the forum's patron, H.H the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and expressed his wishes for the forum's success.
