Latifa bint Mohammed Strengthens UAE-Sweden Cooperation Across Vital Sectors

Stockholm: H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, led a high-level delegation to Sweden, where she engaged in a series of meetings and institutional visits. The focus was on enhancing cooperation and expertise exchange across critical sectors, with an eye on forming long-term partnerships to foster knowledge transfer and future policy development.

According to Emirates News Agency, the delegation included Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Maryam Al Hammadi, Minister of State and Secretary-General of the UAE Cabinet; and Hessa Buhumaid, Director-General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai. The meetings featured discussions with Swedish businessman Marcus Wallenberg, addressing global economic changes, innovation, investment, and sustainable development within the private sector. The dialogue highlighted the importance of attracting talent and high-impact investments in future-focused industries.

H.H. Sheikha Latifa and her team also visited the AI-specialist tech firm Lovable. Recognised for its rapid growth, the company uses AI to facilitate software development. Sheikha Latifa was briefed on Lovable's latest technologies and its vision to broaden AI's scope to support innovators and the digital economy.

In Stockholm, Sheikha Latifa toured the Nobel Prize Museum, learning about its role in documenting Nobel Laureates' achievements and promoting scientific culture. The museum's efforts to establish research and innovation as development pillars were underscored during her visit.

The delegation also visited KTH Innovation, the innovation arm of Sweden's KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Sheikha Latifa was briefed on KTH's model that aids researchers, students, and entrepreneurs in transforming ideas into economically and socially impactful projects.
