MBR Creative Sports Award is ‘inspiring’ for development and strategic plans: Deputy Chairman of UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation


DUBAI: Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, Deputy Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF), affirmed that the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award for 2023 serves as an inspiring incentive for development, performance improvement, and the formulation of strategic plans that align with the wise leadership’s vision for the country.

He added, “We are proud of the win of Abdel Moneim Al Hashemi, Chairman of the UAEJJF, President of the Asian Ju-Jitsu Union and Senior Vice President of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation, with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award for 2023, in the category of ‘UAE Administrator Award’. This award is precious to us all because it bears the name of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. It is a source of pride for us as it is a prestigious award that solidifies the leading position of the UAE by presenting innovative global initiatives.”

Al Dhaheri praised the efforts of Abdel Mone
im Al Hashemi and his strategic directions in planning, monitoring, and attending training sessions, and competitions. He commended Al Hashemi for enhancing competitive values in the hearts of male and female players, as well as ensuring the sustainability of developmental systems to elevate the sport and bring it to international prominence in all aspects.

He stated, ‘We are also delighted today with the crowning achievements in Jiu-Jitsu in the categories of Emirati sports and young Emirati athletes who have achieved remarkable successes,’ highlighting the remarkable track records of the UAE’s own Khaled Mohammed Alshehhi and Zamzam Al Hammadi.
