Young Saudi leaders who benefited from the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk) programs recently participated in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, held on the sidelines of the “Summit of the Future” in the US from September 20 to 23.
The event was a significant step in global efforts to accelerate progress toward achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs).
The Misk Foundation empowers Saudi youths, enabling them to represent the Kingdom at international forums, promoting their initiatives, and facilitating their participation in major global events. Misk’s mission includes building bridges between young leaders and global decision makers, and encouraging innovative solutions to address pressing international challenges, all in pursuit of achieving the SDGs.
At the summit, Misk hosted a dialogue session titled “Youth Charter for the Future”, which focused on key issues identified by youths worldwide. The session explored how this charter aligns with SDGs, and emphasized the imp
ortance of turning policy frameworks into actionable outcomes.
Misk’s involvement aims to increase the role of Saudi youths in the public policy-making process, and to highlight their contributions to resolving global issues.
With Misk support, Saudi youths have played a significant role on prominent international stages, such as the World Economic Forum in Davos and the Youth 20 Summit. The foundation is dedicated to equipping young leaders with essential skills and opportunities, empowering them to make a tangible impact on global platforms.
