Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, convened with Arab Ministers of Finance at the 9th Arab Fiscal Forum, part of the World Governments Summit 2025. The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum welcomed the Arab delegations, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and coordination among Arab governments. He stressed the significance of exchanging knowledge and expertise to support sustainable development, a global priority.
During the meeting, attended by Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, the Arab finance ministers expressed their interest in strengthening cooperation with the UAE. They acknowledged the World Governments Summit as a platform to explore global trends and best practices, aiding in addressing economic challenges.
The 9th Arab Fiscal Forum, organized by the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the UAE Ministry of Finance, focuses on efficient fiscal policies to address debt vulnerabilities. Topics include subsidy reforms, tax administration, and public sector enterprise reforms.
The World Governments Summit 2025 features participation from over 30 heads of state and government, 80 international and regional organizations, and 140 government delegations. It includes 21 global forums on future trends, over 200 sessions by 300 speakers, and will host more than 30 ministerial meetings, publishing 30 strategic reports with international partners.
