Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, in the presence of key Dubai officials, held a meeting with Professor Klaus Schwab, Executive Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum. This meeting took place on Day 0 of the World Governments Summit 2025, which will run from 11 to 13 February under the theme 'Shaping Future Governments'.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid welcomed Schwab's participation in the event, praising the World Economic Forum's vital role in fostering international cooperation. He emphasized the importance of expanding new horizons for global decision-makers to effectively navigate development and economic challenges.
The meeting was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Mohammad Al Gergawi. They focused on strengthening partnerships among world governments and developing shared visions through dialogue and knowledge exchange. Discussions included leveraging opportunities presented by global gatherings like the World Governments Summit to enhance government efficiency and contribute to global economic advancement.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed reiterated the UAE's commitment to a unified global vision aimed at tackling future challenges and unlocking new investment opportunities. He emphasized the importance of this approach for advancing sustainable development and instilling confidence in future generations for a prosperous tomorrow.

Professor Schwab is set to participate in a keynote session at the Summit titled 'Governments in the Intelligent Age'. The World Governments Summit 2025 will convene over 30 heads of state and government, more than 80 international and regional organizations, and 140 government delegations. The agenda includes 21 global forums exploring major future trends, over 200 interactive sessions, and more than 30 ministerial meetings and roundtables.
