The latest rainfall rose participation to 105 percent of Jordan’s long-term average of 8.1 billion cubic meters against 78.5 percent during the same period last year, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation said on Tuesday.
It said dams storage amounted to 120 million cubic meters, or 42.77 percent of their total storage capacity of 280.7 million cubic meters, as of Tuesday morning.
About half a million cubic meters were channeled into the main dams during the past 24 hours, added the ministry.
It said the Maan governorate received the highest rainfall of 17.3 millimeters.
