Sharjah: Rubu' Qarn Centre for Life Skills has successfully concluded its recent season dedicated to imparting essential life skills, aligning with its mission to nurture future leaders and innovators. The initiative aims to equip young individuals with practical capabilities and core life values.
According to Emirates News Agency, the program engaged 80 participants, comprising 40 young women from Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah and 40 young men from Sharjah Youth, all between the ages of 13 to 18. The participants benefitted from a supportive learning environment designed to leave a lasting impact.
The curriculum featured a range of activities focused on developing personal and professional competencies, while also promoting independence and teamwork.
During the closing ceremony, participants demonstrated their newly acquired skills through workshops that covered cooking, farming, and sewing. Additional activities included first aid training, survival skills, morning workouts, motivational talks, and a desert hike.
The program also featured two special sessions titled "Meet the Inspirational." Omar Al Hosani from the Sharjah Capability Development shared insights from his personal journey and the obstacles he overcame to achieve his aspirations.
Similarly, Maitha Al Abdullah from Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah recounted her experiences in the Life Skills program, emphasizing her mountain climbing adventures and how the skills acquired enhanced her confidence and opened new avenues.
The season concluded with an exhibition where participants showcased the results of their hard work through various small projects. These projects included natural products like jams and pickles, home-cooked dishes, handmade canvas bags, and guidance on household appliance care and basic car maintenance.
