Saudi Tourism Authority Welcomes Visitors from All over the World

Riyadh, The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) renewed its welcome to tourists coming from all countries of the world, including citizens of the Commonwealth, the Bahamas, Barbados, and Grenada, which have recently joined the list of countries whose citizens can apply for an electronic visa.

The STA confirmed that those from these three countries wishing to visit the Kingdom and explore its charming tourist and cultural destinations can obtain an electronic visa before traveling or upon arrival at any of the Kingdom’s border crossings, whether for tourism or attending events, exhibitions and conferences.

This comes as part of the efforts of the official bodies working on promoting tourism and their partners to provide more facilities to visitors to the Kingdom, and to continue working to improve tourists’ experiences and enrich their journey to Saudi tourist destinations to enjoy natural, climatic, and cultural diversity, and a rich agenda of events in all regions of the Kingdom throughout the year.

The STA cal
led on citizens of these countries wishing to visit the Kingdom to go to the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, www.mofa.gov.sa, for more details, important information, and the facilities provided.

Since the launch of the electronic tourist visa in the last quarter of 2019, the facilities announced have continued to accommodate new segments, in an effort to attract more visitors, achieve the goals of the National Tourism Strategy that seeks to consolidate Saudi Arabia’s position on the global tourism map, and provide an integrated system of services and offers for tourists. This would raise the number of jobs in the tourism sector to 1 million and increase gross domestic product (GDP) by more than 10% by 2030.

The ‘Spirit of Saudi Arabia’ website, https://www.visitsaudi.com, allows all visitors to the Kingdom to determine the appropriate type of visa after entering the initial information and reviewing diverse tourism packages, an agenda of international events, and many inspiring tourism
experiences. It also provides many options and packages to enrich the experience of visitors to Makkah and Medinah. For more information, call the Tourist Care Center at 930, which receives inquiries and comments around the clock, or contact the @AskVisitSaudi account on the ‘X’ platform.
