Sharjah: The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) has reviewed several recommendations concerning the policies of the Sharjah Districts Affairs Department (SDAD) after extensive discussions. These recommendations aim to enhance the community work system and foster integration among various stakeholders.
According to Emirates News Agency, the SCC's fifteenth session of the third regular session of the eleventh legislative term took place on Thursday morning at the Council's headquarters. Chaired by Rashid Abdullah bin Huwaiden, Vice Chairman of SCC, the session focused on strengthening the roles played by SDAD.
The Council deliberated on recommendations submitted by the Committee for Drafting Recommendations regarding SDAD's policy. Dr. Sultan Khamis Al Zaabi, the Committee's Rapporteur, presented a summary of the plenary session dedicated to discussing the Department's policy. Key areas supporting the Department's operations and its aspirations for development goals were highlighted.
Concluding the session, the Council approved the Public Utilities Affairs Committee's request to refer the draft law articles regulating correctional institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah to the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee. Mira Khalifa Al Muqarrab, Secretary-General of the Council, announced that the next session will occur on Thursday, 14th May, focusing on the draft law for drone usage regulation in Sharjah.
