SCMCHA inspects work on number of water projects and dams in Saqeen, Sa’ada


The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation(SCMCHA), Ibrahim Al-Hamli, inspected the progress of construction , expansion work in a number of water projects and water dams in Saqeen District in Sa’ada province.

Al-Hamli, accompanied by the Deputy Governor of Sa’ada province – Director of the Council Branch, Muhammad Baydan, reviewed the Al-Mashtal water project, which includes a pumping unit with a submersible electric motor with a capacity of 18.5 kilowatts, and an electric pump with a capacity of 15 kilowatts, powered by solar energy, with a capacity of 26,400 watts, in addition to installing a pumping line , and control room, child welfare organization implementation.

The progress of work on the Nakhla Dam in Saqeen District was also reviewed, which costs 709 million and 551 thousand riyals, with a storage capacity of 585 thousand cubic meters and a height of 21 meters, benefiting 20 thousand people, within the fra
mework of community initiatives.

Al-Hamli noted the efforts to implement water projects with alternative energy to alleviate some of the suffering of the people of the nursery in the district, calling for the expansion of the nursery water network project to neighboring villages.

He considered community initiatives an important complement and support to the state’s efforts in completing many development projects, especially water barriers and dams.

Al-Hamli pointed out the importance of water projects and the follow-up of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council in light of the worst human suffering in the world caused by the aggression and siege.

He was accompanied during the visit by the Director General of Local Organizations in the Council, Abdul Salam Al-Nawab.
