Riyadh, The Council of Senior Scholars has welcomed the outcomes of the Islamic Conference on the Declaration of Peace in Afghanistan which was hosted by the Muslim World League (MWL) under the auspices of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement on Friday, the council called on all Afghan warring parties to resort to reason, pull back from hostilities, engage in peace talks and abide by the declaration which seeks a final and comprehensive solution to the Afghan conflict by supporting the reconciliation process.
The statement highlighted the continued Saudi efforts to put an end to infighting in Afghanistan, voicing appreciation for the role of MWL in achieving peace and security in the war-torn Islamic country.
