Sultan of Oman Welcomes Abu Dhabi Deputy Ruler During Official Visit

Muscat:His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman hosted H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, at Al Baraka Palace. This visit is part of Sheikh Tahnoon's official trip to the Sultanate of Oman.

According to Emirates News Agency, during the meeting, Sheikh Tahnoon conveyed greetings from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, wishing Sultan Haitham continued health and happiness, as well as ongoing progress and prosperity for Oman and its people.

In response, Sultan Haitham sent his greetings to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressing wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the United Arab Emirates and its people. He also emphasized the strong fraternal relations between the two nations.

The meeting, which was attended by H.H. Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, focused on the distinguished relations between the UAE and Oman and explored opportunities to enhance cooperation in various fields. The aim is to serve their shared interests and bring greater prosperity to their peoples.

Additionally, the discussions included several issues of mutual interest, with both parties exchanging views on these topics. Following the meeting, Sultan Haitham hosted a luncheon in honor of Sheikh Tahnoon and his delegation.

Sheikh Tahnoon arrived in Muscat earlier in the day, welcomed at the Royal Airport by H.H. Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said and senior Omani officials. He was accompanied by a delegation that included Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment; Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development; and Sultan Obaid Al Yabhouni, Director General of the Office of the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
