Stockholm, Members of the Syrian community in Sweden have celebrated the anniversaries of October Liberation War and the glorious Corrective Movement in a national event organized by the National Union of Syrian Expatriates in Sweden and Europe.
The ceremony was held at the at the People’s Hall in Stockholm, Hallunda region and it was attended by the First Secretary of the Syrian Embassy in Stockholm, Ihab al-Youssef.
In a speech delivered at the ceremony, President of the Union, Dr. Gabi Isho underlined the importance of October Liberation War and the glorious corrective movement in the memory of the Syrians and the heroism of the Syrian Arab Army.
He affirmed that the Syrian expatriates renew their stance in support of their homeland and their confidence in its ability to achieve victory and to restore security and stability.
Speaking at the ceremony, the First Secretary of the Syrian Embassy, Ihab al-Youssef, shed light on the importance of the role of Syrian expatriates in different fields in taking the initiative and participating in the reconstruction of their motherland, Syria, which had confronted the terrorist war.
He added that the successes made by the expatriates constitute a civilized bridge of communication between the motherland and the world through introducing our civilization and culture to other peoples.
