The Arab Parliament appreciated Iraq’s role in the Saudi-Iranian rapprochement.

The Arab Parliament, in a statement at the conclusion of the work of the fourth plenary session of the third session of the third legislative term of the Arab Parliament, headed by Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Assoumi, Speaker of Parliament, expressed its appreciation for the active role of Iraq in achieving solidarity and unity among all segments of the people and the tripartite cooperation between Iraq, Egypt and Jordan and its support and solidarity with the Syrian people in the disaster of the earthquake, and the special role of Iraq in bringing the points of view between Saudi Arabia and Iran closer.

It praised the role of Iraq in hosting the work of the thirty-fourth conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, stressing its full support for the Republic of Iraq in all its measures and deterrent measures to protect its security, stability and the safety of its citizens, since Iraq’s security is an integral part of Arab national security.

Yesterday, the fourth plenary session of the third session of the third legislative term of the Arab Parliament was concluded, headed by Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Assoumi, Speaker of Parliament.

Discussions dealt with support for Iraq, the Palestinian cause, the situation in Sudan, and developments in the Arab world.

The Parliament delegation included MP, Shaalan Al-Karim, Deputy Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Representative Hanan Al-Fatlawi, MP Ahmed Al-Jubouri and MP, Nadhim Al-Shibli.
