Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Attends Ceremony Honouring 325 Students from President’s Scholarship Programme.


Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended a ceremony at Mubadala Arena to honour 325 students from the President’s Scholarship for Distinguished Students programme. The event, organised by the Scholarships Office of the Presidential Court, recognised students receiving external scholarships for the academic years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.

According to Emirates News Agency, the ceremony was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Ahmed Mohamed Al Hameeri, Secretary-General of the Presidential Court; Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Adviser to the UAE President; and Sultan Rashid Ali Al Shamsi, Advisor at the Presidential Court.

H.H. Sheikh Theyab highlighted that the recognition reflects the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aimed at supporting students and developing their skills to exce
l in the job market. He acknowledged the efforts of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed in upgrading the office to meet the country’s development needs and preparing a generation qualified according to the highest scientific standards.

Sheikh Theyab praised the Scholarship Office’s efforts in enabling students to study at prestigious universities, aligning with the UAE’s leadership goals. He emphasized the importance of preparing nationals to lead in science and knowledge, following the approach of the Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Theyab congratulated the graduates, expressing pride in their achievements and wishing them success in fulfilling the UAE’s future aspirations. Ahmed Mohamed Al Hameeri thanked Sheikh Mansour and Sheikh Theyab for their support and highlighted the scholarship programme’s role in preparing a leading generation capable of continuing the nation’s progress.

The ceremony featured the national anthem, Quran recitation, and a speech by graduate Mohammed Ibrahim Salman
Al Hajri, who expressed gratitude to the leadership for supporting students’ academic pursuits. The event concluded with Sheikh Theyab receiving a commemorative gift and a group photo with the graduates and Board members.
