Turkish Pres. slams US Congress hosting Israeli occupation’s PM

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan renewed denunciation of the speech delivered by the prime minister of the Israeli occupation Benjamin Netanyahu to the US Congress on Wednesday.

“A few days ago we have seen shameful scenes at the US Congress and, in deed, we felt ashamed, on behalf of humanity, at what we saw,” Erdogan told a gathering of representatives of the civil society organization in Rize province, north Turkiye on Saturday.

“Rolling out the red carpet for such a person (Netanyahu) and clapping hands to his fallacies represent a mental fault on the side of the United States.

“When we see those (the US lawmakers) who applaud the murderer of nearly 400,000 innocent people (in Gaza Strip), we have to worry about not only our future, but that of the entire humanity as well,” President Erdogan argued.

Yesterday, he said, “The whole world saw how genocidal murderer was applauded in the US Congress.” “The US House of Representatives applauded those who massacred nearly 40,000 children, women and the
elderly,” Anadolu Agency quoted him as sayinig at the unveiling ceremony of the High Technology Incentive Program (HIT-30) in Istanbul.

Since October 7, the Israeli military operation in Gaza Strip has claimed more than 39,000 lives and injured over 90,000 others, according to health authorities in the Strip.
