Abu dhabi: UAE air defence systems successfully intercepted four ballistic missiles and six drones originating from Iran on 15th March 2026. Since the onset of these Iranian attacks, UAE defences have managed to intercept a total of 298 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,606 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
According to Emirates News Agency, the attacks have led to the unfortunate deaths of six individuals of Emirati, Pakistani, Nepali, and Bangladeshi nationalities. Additionally, 142 people have sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. The affected individuals hail from a diverse range of nationalities, including Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, Turkish, Iraqi, Nepali, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, and Swedish.
