Abu Dhabi:Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, met with Corina Calugaru, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in trade and investment, artificial intelligence, digital government, renewable energy, and education. The discussions also centered on encouraging UAE companies and investors to explore investment opportunities in Moldova.
Furthermore, both parties addressed the potential for improving air connectivity between the UAE and Moldova to support tourism, business, and investment. They emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination between relevant entities in both nations to capitalize on available opportunities and implement practical projects and initiatives that align with their shared interests.
Al Zeyoudi highlighted the promising opportunities to boost cooperation in future-focused sectors, enabling the private sectors in both countries to explore new opportunities and build valuable partnerships. He stressed the significance of enhancing ties between the business communities of the UAE and Moldova and turning available opportunities into tangible projects.
In addition, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova. This agreement aims to strengthen cooperation, facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge in diplomatic training, support capacity development, and bolster institutional cooperation between the two sides.
