UAE Facilitates Return of 500 Golden Visa Holders Amid Regional Disruptions

Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), continues to implement evacuation plans, facilitating the return of around 500 UAE Golden Visa holders and residents stranded abroad. Their return had been previously hindered due to ongoing regional developments, including airspace closures and disruptions to global aviation.

According to Emirates News Agency, these efforts reflect the UAE’s humanitarian approach and the vision of its leadership to provide support and care for both citizens and residents. This approach is guided by the principle of ‘People First’, which is integral to the UAE’s national policies and strategic framework. The focus is on enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of all members of society while ensuring high levels of protection, security, and stability.

MoFA and NCEMA stated that from the onset of regional developments, they were prepared to respond by implementing precautionary and proactive measures. This included coordination with relevant authorities in the UAE and its diplomatic missions abroad, continuous monitoring of developments, and regular updates to approved plans in response to changing circumstances.

These actions have reinforced the UAE’s preparedness and ensured a swift response to safeguard the safety of citizens and residents. MoFA and NCEMA emphasized that the safety and security of citizens, residents, and visitors remain a top priority. The successful implementation of evacuation operations reflects the integrated efforts of national entities and the efficiency of the UAE’s institutional framework in addressing challenges with professionalism and competence.
