Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation, and IMI Media Academy have jointly launched the Industrial Content Leaders programme at Make it in the Emirates 2026. This national initiative aims to equip young Emiratis with AI-powered storytelling skills to advance the UAE's industrial sector.
According to Emirates News Agency, the four-month programme, which starts this summer, will guide participants through three stages: gaining foundational knowledge of the industrial sector, engaging in hands-on media production using AI tools, and launching national content projects spearheaded by the participants. Hassan Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary at MoIAT, emphasized the program's role in preparing the next generation. He highlighted its focus on young people who will communicate the value of national industry through innovative, AI-driven methods, thus building a national narrative that mirrors the country's ambitions.
Dr. Sonia Ben Jaafar, CEO of the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation, shared that the program enables young Emiratis to narrate their country's story in their own voices, fostering continuity. She noted that the partnership offers young people direct exposure to the UAE's industrial transformation, while equipping them with practical skills in AI, media, and storytelling. This initiative will help capture a pivotal moment in the country's evolution, shaped by the ambition and values of the participating generation, who are entrusted with carrying the country's story forward.
Ali Al Hammadi, Chief Operating Officer at IMI, remarked on the importance of narrative shaping as a skill on par with industry building. Through IMI Media Academy, the program invests in a new generation of Emirati storytellers, equipped with media, technology, and artificial intelligence tools. This empowerment aims to create stories that bolster national identity, highlight innovation, and position the UAE's industrial sector on the global stage.
