Abu Dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to discuss the enhancement of bilateral relations, focusing on development-centric sectors within the framework of their comprehensive strategic partnership.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting, held at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, saw the UAE President extending a warm welcome to the Greek Prime Minister and his delegation. His Highness expressed optimism that the visit would further bolster joint efforts to advance the comprehensive strategic partnership for the mutual benefit of the UAE and Greece.
Discussions between the leaders centered on cooperation in various areas, including the economy, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, investment, food security, and renewable energy. These sectors are considered pivotal for mutual growth and prosperity.
The leaders also exchanged views on regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of peaceful resolutions to global conflicts and crises. They reiterated their commitment to supporting diplomatic efforts that foster stability, security, and prosperity, aligning with their shared goals for peace and sustainable development.
In attendance at the meeting were several high-ranking officials, including H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and other prominent figures from the UAE government.
