UK Ambassador visits Misrata University.


The UK Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, and his accompanying delegation visited Misrata University yesterday to discuss ways of academic and cultural cooperation and activating joint programs with the British Universities to upgrade the level of postgraduate studies.

An expanded meeting was held with the Ambassador, including the President of Misrata University, Dr. Muhammad Al-Danfour, and senior professors and administrators, led by the Vice President for Human Sciences and the Dean of the College of Arts, and discussed ways to enhance academic and research cooperation with British universities and the role of the British Council in supporting efforts towards improving the quality of education and developing English language skills.

It is worth mentioning that Misrata University has signed many agreements with the British Council, including fruitful cooperation in several areas, including hosting the university’s IELTS examination center.
