World Governments Summit 2027 Scheduled for Early February in UAE


Dubai: Guided by the vision and directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE continues to demonstrate its commitment to advancing government development and fostering international partnerships. These efforts aim to facilitate the exchange of successful governance practices among nations, with the forthcoming World Governments Summit set to take place from 1st to 3rd February 2027.



According to Emirates News Agency, Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Governments Summit, stated that the summit embodies the UAE leadership’s vision of empowering governments to drive change. The summit seeks to create opportunities and enhance readiness to address rapidly evolving global challenges. The focus is on achieving sustainable prosperity and ensuring a stable and progressive future for societies worldwide.



Al Gergawi emphasized the summit’s role as a leading international event dedicated to government innovation and collaboration between governments and global institutions. Previous editions have shaped key government policies and strategies, influencing sustainable development pathways across various countries.



Highlighting the growing importance of international dialogue amid accelerating global transformations, Al Gergawi noted that the World Governments Summit serves as a central platform for promoting joint action and innovative solutions. These efforts support long-term stability, prosperity, and human progress.



The World Governments Summit 2026, held in Dubai, recorded the largest leadership participation in its history, with over 6,250 participants, including decision-makers, thought leaders, and experts. The event featured participation from over 60 heads of state and government, more than 500 ministers, and representatives from over 150 governments worldwide.



During its 13th edition, the summit hosted over 445 dialogue sessions involving more than 450 global figures. It welcomed over 700 CEOs of major global companies, 87 Nobel laureates, and representatives from over 80 international and regional organisations. The agenda included 25 global forums and more than 45 ministerial and high-level meetings, focusing on themes such as global governance, community wellbeing, and economic prosperity.



As part of its efforts, the summit contributed to the release of 36 strategic reports in collaboration with international knowledge partners. It also hosted the third Global Ministers Survey, aimed at identifying development priorities and shaping more effective public policies.
