The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) participated in the FIATA 2023 conference in Brussels, Belgium from October 3 to 6. The conference was organized by the International Federation of Freight Association (FIATA) and attracted many parties interested in the logistics sector from various countries around the world.
During the event, ZATCA showcased its logistics and customs services in an exhibition pavilion, including the Saudi Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) priority program, which is based on a partnership between the authority and establishments to enhance the security of the global supply chain and facilitate trade. ZATCA introduced its logistical and customs services.
The authority reviewed the facilities provided to shipping brokers and their consistency with ZATCA’s objectives to strengthen the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s position as a global logistics platform. Additionally, the authority participated in a workshop where it shared its experience in the Two-Hour Clearance Initiative and the role of its customs services in providing an attractive investment environment for the Kingdom.
